Families based in Asia continue to show strong interest in a UK boarding school education for their children. The BESSA Schools Show 2022 in Singapore and Malaysia saw almost 500 attendees who came to meet admission directors of the UK’s most sought after schools.
In Kuala Lumpur, many local Malaysians came to discover educational opportunities overseas. Over in Singapore, the audience was a balanced mixture of Singaporeans and international families from Europe, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and China. Participating schools noticed an increase in last minute enquiries places at the 14+ and 16+ entry points for 2023, as well as a large proportion of families exploring UK boarding for the first time.
BESSA’s speaker programme is always a crowd pleaser, and this year was no exception. Topics ranged from what age to start boarding, the role of sports in schools and how UK boarding prepares students for university. Watch the recordings here.
