As Tatler’s Best Public School 2024, Radley is a traditional full boarding school for 775 boys aged 13-18. Kown for a strong sense of community and pastoral care, everything Radley does is underpinned by a combination of tradition, innovation and collective spirit. Radleians are immersed in community: singing in Chapel together five times a week; bonds formed with staff in the evening ‘Cocoas’ and in the lifelong friendships the boys make.

Radley has a reputation as the school for the all-rounder: boys who are academically talented with a wide range of other interests. Our academic programme is ambitious – boys consistently achieve some of the top results in the country and go on to the world’s best universities including Oxbridge, Russell Group and US Ivy Leagues.

This year, 58 boys (34%) are heading to universities ranked in the global Top 50 by QS including Oxford/Cambridge (13 offers), Imperial College London, UCL and the University of Edinburgh, alongside leading US universities. A further 96 boys (56%) are heading to universities in the QS Global Top 100, including Durham, Bristol, the London School of Economics and Warwick. 14 boys secured early offers to study in the US, including Yale, UPenn and Harvard.

A Radley education is defined by its breadth, and we excel across the co-curricular mix be that sport, art, design, music, debate or drama. Based in a beautiful 800-acre campus, just outside the university city of Oxford, Radley offers world class facilities to accommodate all interest and ambitions. These include a golf course (and simulator), an indoor rowing tank, real tennis, fives and rackets courts, design engineering workshops, an art gallery, the Countryside Centre, the Radley Zoo, the Observatory, and a new Music School.

Radley is looking for kind, talented and ambitious boys who will thrive in a boarding environment. We are an academically selective school and our assessment reflects this, but we are most interested in boys who will make the most of every opportunity and significantly contribute to Radley life.

Radley Schools Group’s prep schools and Radley College are united by a shared commitment to educational excellence. Four of these prep schools, Beeston (Norfolk), Cothill, (Oxfordshire), Mowden Hall (Northumberland) and West Hill Park (Hampshire) offer boarding for pupils aged 8 – 13.
