“A wonderfully inclusive British international school in Singapore with a wide range of academic curricula including vocational options, and known for its warm, welcoming family community and spacious campus”
About
Founded in 1972, Dover Court International School (DCIS) is one of Singapore’s longest established and most respected international schools. Known for its warm community, inclusive ethos and consistently strong academic outcomes, DCIS is a leading choice for families seeking a high quality British and international education.
DCIS is a full through school for students aged 3 to 18, offering a broad, balanced and internationally recognised curriculum from early years through to sixth form. In the early years, children learn in structured, play based, Reggio inspired environments that nurture curiosity, independence and strong foundational skills. Primary students follow the English National Curriculum, enriched by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), with thematic, interdisciplinary learning that helps children make meaningful connections across subjects.
In secondary school, students continue with the breadth and rigour of the English National Curriculum across sciences, humanities, languages, arts, mathematics and technology. At Key Stage 4 (Years 9–11), students prepare for IGCSE qualifications, widely recognised for their academic challenge. In the sixth form, students choose from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), individual IB courses or the International BTEC Diploma in Business, allowing flexible pathways aligned to individual strengths and ambitions.
Despite being non selective, DCIS achieves excellent academic results. The IBDP Class of 2025 achieved an average score of 36, with a highest score of 44. At IGCSE, 54 per cent of grades were awarded at A*/A, with 12 students achieving highest scores in Singapore and worldwide. BTEC students achieved a 100 per cent pass rate. Graduates progress to leading universities globally, including Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, King’s College London, NYU Tisch and the National University of Singapore.
Personalised learning and wellbeing sit at the heart of the school. DCIS supports a wide range of learning needs, including EAL and SEN provision, alongside alternative pathways such as ASDAN. Set on a spacious 12 acre green campus, the school combines heritage buildings with modern facilities, extensive outdoor spaces and a rich co curricular programme. Through Nord Anglia Education, students also benefit from global collaborations, international trips and leadership opportunities that prepare them for life beyond school.
